MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

The original Mixed Martial Arts dates back to around 650 B.C. in the Greek Pan-Hellenic Games. Most of the rules used then are still followed in today’s competitions and organizations such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the World Extreme Cagefighting.Coach Danny Daniels offers mixed martial arts training to students who come to the Studio for a variety of reason, from general fitness, strength and conditioning, to becoming a professional fighter.

Whatever your goal, martial arts is a great exercise program that will get you in shape while you are having fun and learning a skill set. Because of the fact that you are focusing on technique and having a good time doing it, you aren’t really thinking about it as exercise…….most of the time :-)

All of our Mixed Martial Arts classes are developed to train you as a fighter. They are developed to give you complete body conditioning by strengthening all muscles groups, increasing flexibility and enhancing your endurance level. All of these will lead to fat loss and healthy weight management and get you in the best shape of your life. With hard work come results. We’re not trying to say its one big cake walk. What we are saying is, anyone can do it, and that it beats the crap out of getting on a treadmill or sitting on a piece of gym equipment doing the same thing every day.

We offer a Beginner Jujitsu/Mixed Martial Art class on Tuesdays and Thursday from 7 pm to 8 pm. Regular MMA classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8 pm to 9 pm. Thursday nights we focus on wrestling and improve your ground game. We also offer Open Gym on Fridays (6 pm to 7 pm) and on Saturdays (10 am to noon). This is time for you to practice your skills and techniques, workout on your own or with other members.
